With addictions from substance abuse at the base of the disruption of our families today, the more we know the better chance we have at winning the battle with this disease for our families and our community.
Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery’s (CCAR’s) Windham Recovery Community Center will be hosting a Public Forum.
We will be viewing episodes from the HBO Addiction series and the Matrix Series of Families in Recovery each month followed by opening discussions

MEETINGS AT WINDHAM RECOVERY COMMUNITY CENTER
1st Monday of each month
WINDHAM CHAPTER MEETING 6:00pm – 7:30pm.
All those in recovery or who support recovery are welcomed to join to start working toward the solution of
reducing the stigma of addiction and assist in helping those enhance their life in recovery.
3rd Monday of each month
WINDHAM CHAPTER ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING 6:00pm – 7:30pm.
The advisory council meets to discuss and plan what happens at the Recovery Center.
Volunteers are asked to make a one year commitment.
Every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
RECOVERY MEETING 12:30pm – 1:30pm.
All those that support recovery, by either being in recovery from alcohol and substance abuse, a family member
or friend of those that want to live in an environment of recovery are welcome to attend.

WOMEN’S ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS MEETING 7:30pm – 9:00pm.

WOMEN’S All RECOVERY MEETING 12:30pm – 1:30pm.
Women who are in recovery, female family members or female friends of women in recovery are welcomed to
share their experience, strength and hope with other women in a safe and supportive environment. All forms of
recovery from substance disorders are welcomed.
1st Thursday of each Month
FAMILY/COMMUNITY EDUCATION FORUM 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
Whether you just want information to improve your knowledge base or you have someone near and dear to you that
is or has been struggling with the disease of addiction you are welcomed to attend our community forum to view a
video about addiction and recovery, with open discussion to follow for questions and comments.
2nd & 4th Thursday of each month
FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP 7:00pm – 9:00pm.
Families or friends that have someone that they care about either in recovery or still in active addiction of alcohol or substance abuse share their experiences and get information from others that are experiencing the same journey. Also
in the room are recovering individuals that because of their active addiction life and the damage they have done have not been welcomed back into their family of origin lives.
